Weishenstephaner – Dark hefeweizen

WeishenstephanerNote: Enjoyed on February 18, 2009.

This is a dark “hefeweizbeer”, which I can only assume is a German name for hefeweizen. Hefeweizen is definitely my favorite type of beer, which attracted me to this bottle. The label claims that this comes from the “world’s oldest brewery”. Based on this particular beverage, I’m guessing that they are also the world’s most average brewery, as my impression was that it was just another beer. Given that it was dark, I recall it being a little stronger than your average hefeweizen. Really nothing else to say!
