Dundee Porter

Dundee Porter
I’m waiting for the Boston Bruins vs Carolina Hurricanes Game 7 to start. 10 minutes to game time! Go B’s!

This beer has been sitting in my fridge since February! I’ve been neglecting it for other newer beers. Shame on me! It only came out of the fridge because I asked the wife to pick the review topic tonight, and she said “the red one” (she likes red).

This sucker poured out with plenty of light fluffy head. I expected the head to stick around longer than it did though. Fizzles away relatively quickly. It’s a dark molasses color…almost black.

Smooth going down. Very little carbonation, just the way a porter should be (I think). Dry finish. 6.5% ABV.

Not bitter at all. Medium sweetness. Toasted flavors evident. Light chocolate or coffee flavor…maybe. It isn’t very clear to me.

In the end, this is an OK beer. Nothing to write home about. Have enjoyed other beers from Dundee, and this one is isn’t as good for me.
