Cottonwood Endo India Pale Ale

Cottonwood Endo India Pale Ale
Just got done eating some tacos for dinner. It just a little while we head to Bedford, MA to go to a recital for a friend. He plays a Chinese instrument called a Guzheng…it’s pretty cool. Anyhow, I have just enough time to do a review.

Last night I reviewed the Cottonwood Almond Stout. It was awesome. Today is the Cottonwood Endo, which is an IPA. Will it match up?

Not quite. It’s pretty hoppy, but not the usual grapefruity hop flavor I’m used to. Just straight-up bitter. Couldn’t find the IBUs anywhere, but I’m guessing it is pretty high (80ish?). I did, however find out that it has 185 calories. I shouldn’t have looked…it reminds me of how much beer I drink, and how many calories that is!!!

As the beer warmed, and my tongue got accustomed to being attacked, the beer became easier to drink. Still, this isn’t my favorite IPA. Pretty average. Hop-heads will enjoy trying it.
