Cottonwood Low Down Brown Ale

Sitting down to watch “The Wrestler”. Pretty pumped because it’s Sunday night and we don’t have to go to work tomorrow, or the next day, or the next day. VACATION!

The Cottonwood Low Down Brown poured with a ton of froth. With the deep brown color it looked like a root beer float. I was pretty excited to dive into it. Didn’t have to wait long, as the head fizzled away quickly.

I’m surprised by the flavor. It’s sweet. Vanilla and chocolate. Not a lot like other brown ales I have had. More like a porter or stout in it’s visual and taste aspects, but definitely nowhere near as dark as those kinds of beer. A quick peer on Beer Advocate tells me that this one is 5.4% ABV.

The movie is rolling now, so I best pay attention. I hear this movie is a good one.
