I picked a hum-dinger of a beer to try tonight. Weyerbacher Slam Dunkel. A full flavored beast that I’m trying to get a handle on.
It’s thick, but only 7% ABV. Alcohol is thoroughly present, and tastes like a 10+ percenter.
The taste is sweet and slightly sour. Having trouble identifying the flavors. Plum, or cherry flavor maybe? Licorice maybe? Unfortunately it ends up tasting just slightly like Nyquil.
This beer is definitely unique, but I’m not a big fan.
