North Coast Pranqster

North Coast Pranqster
*sigh* The weekend is over. At least we had great weather. We turned on the A/C for the first time today. We spent Saturday with my parents, which included a trip to the New England Aquarium. We then went to a birthday party for my friend Sean. I managed to get completely trashed in just 3 short hours. They had a keg of Harpoon Summer, which was awesome. Sunday has been a lazy day. Chilling out and watching movies.

I’m finishing the weekend off with a North Coast Pranqster, which is a Belgian Style Golden Ale.

Pranqster is aromatic. Bready with cloves and a hint of banana. The mouthfeel is dominated by the high carbonation; as soon as the beer hits your tongue, it starts to tingle. It’s got a cloudy-orange color.

The taste follows the scent. Banana flavor is stronger than the smell indicated. Cloves are there as well…quite spicy. This one belongs in the “full-flavored” category.
