Victory Hop Devil

Victory Hop Devil
Tonight is Friday. Good riddens to the past week! This weekend should be a good time. Tonight I’m throwing back some beers and watching Defiance with the wife. Tomorrow, we go to the farm stand in the morning, followed by a party around mid-day, then I’m hoping to find a bar where we can watch the UFC 100 pay per view MMA fight. Furthermore, today turned out absolutely beautiful…upper 70s and sunny. A big change from the last month of rain here in New England!

A friend of my (Gall) recommended that I try out the Victory Hop Devil. It’s been sitting in my fridge since May, so I think it’s about time to give it a whirl!

The Devil lives up to it’s name when it comes to flavor. Devilish spicy & bitter hops are attacking my tongue with delicious pitch forks. At first, I thought there wasn’t a ton of after-taste, but as I sit here taking a break between sips, it started to sneak up on me. Then BLAM! Hops coming from the shadows and nailing the back of the tongue. Interesting.

Not the hoppiest beer I have ever had, but definitely up there. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the IBUs online anywhere. I’m guessing that it is in the 70ish range. I was able to find the ABV – 6.7%.

Overall, I like the beer. I’m really starting to see why you hop-heads like this stuff so much!
