Founders Breakfast Stout

Founders Breakfast Stout
I smell bad tonight. B.O. I’m surprised the wife hasn’t said anything. And yes, that’s all for my daily personal update. Beer time.

I’ve had some coffee flavored stouts, but in terms of Aroma this one takes the cake. Taking a whiff is like smelling a fresh pot in the morning. Unbelievable. And although I’m not a big coffee drinker, the smell is strangely attractive.

The color is straight up black. The pour had me worried because it came out syrupy with very little head. I’ve found that syrupy beers end up being too strong and unpalatable to me.

The label of the bottle (which BTW is incredibly creepy) pretty much reviews the taste for me: “Double Chocolate Coffee Oatmeal Stout”. So yeah….First and foremost it tastes like coffee. Dark chocolate comes next. The oatmeal is the most secluded flavor for me. Despite the syrupy consistency, it’s delicious. Love the varying flavors.
