Spanish Peaks Honey Raspberry Ale

Spanish Peaks Honey Raspberry Ale
Today I am in complete denial that it is fall. We went out shopping for a few hours today and I decided that cloudy & 60 degrees was shorts and t-shirt weather. Man, did I pay for that. If the temperature wasn’t cold enough, it was retardedly windy. And the wife wouldn’t let me hear the end of it. Tonight I’m sitting down to watch the the Boston Bruins game and I have a Spanish Peaks’ Honey Raspberry Ale in hand. Figured that a summery beer went with the theme.

This is the first beer I’ve had from Spanish Peaks Brewery (Colorado/Montana). The picture of the black lab on the label was what got me to buy the bottle. I’m a sucker for dogs. That said, my stupid dog is growling at me right now…wants to go out. Bastard doesn’t know that there is a game on!

The honey raspberry pouted with little head. It’s darker than I expected; a burnt orange color.

Nothing but raspberry on the nose. Plenty of berry in the flavor also. Sweet throughout. The honey is lightly present…I need to soul search to find it.

This is one of the better raspberry ales I’ve had.
