Stoudts Heifer-in-Wheat

Stoudts Hefeir-in-WheatBruins won in a shootout last night. Patriots crushed the Bucs today. I spent a couple hours learning how to make a watermark, which turned out pretty sexy-like if I do say so myself. What a great day. The only downside? It’s frickin Sunday night. BLAH!

Stoudts Hefer-in-Wheat caught my eye because of the cow on the label (a heifer shoulder deep in a wheat field). I do loves me a cow. I also do loves me some Bavarian-style Hefeweizen.

The beer is reminding a bit of last night’s beer. It definitely gets better marks on account of bolder taste and a less watered-down feel.

The color is light and hazy yellow. Head sticks around for a long time. Bready and citrusy on the nose and tongue. Not a particularly unique hefe, but a good one nonetheless. It’s funny…Hefe used to be my favorite style of beer, but I don’t remember the last time I had one. The world of beer has completely opened up to me and I don’t even know what my favorites are beyond my favorite breweries!
