New England Sea Hag IPA

I'm making this a multi-review night. As I mentioned in my last post, I'm diving into canned craft brew. Thinking that I had about 5-6 different cans in the fridge I expected this to be a series of reviews. Upon double-checking, I only see 3 cas. DAMN YOU BEER GREMLINS! So my series is really going to be a 1-night triple-review mini-series.

Second up is this con of New England Sea Hag IPA. Never tried anything from New England brewery (Connecticut), so this is another first for me.

A good amount of head on this beer. Burnt orange in color. Smells like sweet grapefruit. With the plethora of grapefruit IPAs out there, let's hope this one brings something unique to the table.

*Waaa waaa* (The sound of fail). Nothing terribly new or interesting in this IPA. Starts with sweet grapefruit just like the aroma. Slowly withers into bitter citrus. Finishes loooonnngg with piney bitterness. Maybe I'm just too IPAed out and need a break.

Although I wasn't a big fan of the beer, I'll give a shout out to New England brewing since they are local to me.
