Southern Tier Raspberry Wheat

Southern Tier Raspberry Wheat
Just got back from class. Watching the Bruins on DVR. Waiting for the wife to come home; wondering where the hell she is. Stoked because my beer supply is dwindling, which means only one thing….ALMOST BEER RUN TIME! I’m stoked because I’m sure I can still find plenty of fall beer, while at the same time the winter brews are coming in.

The few beers I have left in the fridge are a mish-mash of Ocktoberfest, IPA, and a couple of “others”. Among these others was this Southern Tier Raspberry Wheat.

Pale yellow in color. Minimal head. The following picture was taken just a few seconds after a VERY aggressive pour.

I’m hoping people like the additional pictures I’m adding. A friend suggested that I add them. Back to the review though…

This puppy is raspberry from start to finish. Close your eyes and you’d think that you are smelling a pint of raspberries. Same thing in the flavor. Tastes like pureed berries. My initial impression was that the beer is a bit too sweet. As I plow through it (rapidly) I’m changing my mind. Decent beer. Not a home run, but a solid double.
