In fact, I did the same thing when I first got into beer (I tried World Wide Stout way too soon in my beer journey and drank it from a pint glass and poured most of it down the drain).<br /><br />Anyway, a barleywine should not be drunk from a shaker pint glass like the one pictured. It should be poured into a snifter and sipped slowly. It's not beer douchery that makes me say this, it's simply how that beer (and many others) should be enjoyed.
