Big City, Allston. Large Selection, and pretty decent price apps... I live in Allston, and I hate Sunset Bar and Grill, had their food and felt it was over priced... (Because White Horse next door is pretty cheap)

Other alternative to beer + dinner thing is White Horse (Mon/Tues) 1 pound Wings or Burgers $4

I am definitely interested in the concept it just depends on when and where. A good beer establishment is a must especially given that we are in the dead of winter. John Harvard's Brewhouse (Framingham) and British Beer Company (Framingham and Walpole) are a couple of suggestions to consider. Driving into Boston or a nearby suburb might not be an option for everyone.

Count me in. My vote is Allston – Sunset Grill & Tap – on a weekend preferably, or a weekday evening.

Definitely do it at a place that serves beer. What would a beer tweetup be without quality beer?

Jillians could be fun, but they don't have the best beer selection.

To be honest, most tweetups occur during the week for a fairly good reason: bars/restaurants don't want to close off or dedicate part of their space to a special event on a weekend. The weekends are when they make the most money from the general public and it hurts business to have something like that during their peak times.

I would suggest contacting a few Boston or Boston-area bars or brewpubs that are known for having great beer and discussing it with them. I would suggest starting with those that are in tune to the beer community and possibly also in tune to Twitter.

I might be interested, but it really depends on when and where it is. Providence is far enough from Boston that going to something like this may not be possible if I'm going to be drinking and it's during the week.

Oh and stop calling us "twits". The proper term for someone on Twitter is "tweep". "Twit" is a derogatory term.

How about a pub crawl tweetup. I was in planning meeting just a couple of hours ago for one on Boylston St. We were also looking at incorporating FourSquare on the PubCrawl.

How does that sound?

I'd vote for somewhere that serves a lot of good beer, preferably. As it is a craft beer drinkers Tweetup. I know there are lots of great places in Boston. IE: Sunset Grill & Roadhouse.

And I would def vote for a weekend evening, for sure.
