Happy New Year everyone! 2009 was a good year. The 2000s were a great decade! To celebrate I generated a list of the various (mostly) awesome things that happened to me in the last 10 years.
* Finished undergrad
* Started grad school
* Baptism, confirmation, 1st communion
* Marriage
* Honeymoon in Ireland
* 10 wonderful, beautiful years with my wife
* 1st house
* 1st cats of our own
* 1st dog of our own
* Acquired a step father
* Went veggie
* Became a big brother (BBBS)
* 10 great years at the same company
* Became an uncle twice
* Became a God father
* Saw MANY 80s bands in concert that I never thought I would see
* Put on 30 (much needed) pounds
* Started a blog, drank a lot of great beer
* Got addicted to playing golf
* Started reading books, bbbecame a WW2 history junky
* Started going bald & grew back hair
* 10 years with irritable bowel – learned to live with it
* Vacation trips to: Atlanta, Colonial Williamsburg, Washington DC, Ptown, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, NYC, Oregon
* Witnessed 3 Patriots Super Bowl and 2 Red Sox World Series championships
* Drove ~400,000 miles.
* Totaled a Corolla, caused $5000 in damage to another. Killed 3 transmissions and 1 engine
* Kept up with old friends, made new friends, said goodbye to friends who passed
In 2010 my goals are to stay healthy and be a good husband. With respect to the blog, I want to continue drinking great craft beer and writing about it in a way that is inviting and unintimidating.
What are your beer-related aspirations for the new year?

First child due in 3 months. I hope to continue to find time to drink (and afford) the beers I've become accustomed to drinking in the last two years. But, more importantly, if the beer must suffer due to the fatherhood and husbandry, sacrifice as best I can. Thanks for following my blog. Yours is terrific.
