If you’ve been following LIBA for awhile, you already know this, but let’s recap for the newbies.
Back in February me and a number of co-workers brewed four different batches of “home-brew”. The first one I reviewed (Blueberry) was pretty darned good. The second (Red Rock Bock) was a big let down. I’ve got two left to review, so I’m knocking them out tonight. All 44 ounces worth.
First up it my the Jealous White – a Belgian White. This is definitely the most dynamic beer that we brewed. Definitely the most delicious as well. The aroma is lacking, but the flavor makes up for it. Lightly citrusy with a bit of a mystery flavor mixed in. Highly carbonated to the point where it reminds me of an less orangey Orangina. Super easy to drink, but definitely not boring.
Before I drink much more of this, I’m going to switch over to the Express Porter.
The Express Porter was brewed with like a pound of premium coffee. I think we’ll find out how much caffeine stuck with the beer, as I can’t handle my caffeine. I could be sitting here at 1:00am playing Final Fantasy instead of sleeping. No worries though…I have a doctor’s appointment late in the morning, so I’m taking the morning off of work.
This beer is light colored (for a porter). Plenty of head on the pour. Aroma and flavor are almost identical. Perfect coffee flavor. More on the bitter side than the sweet side. Smooth with low carbonation. I ended up liking this beer. Not my favorite…probably a tie for second-best with the Blueberry.
Now that I’ve completed this mediocre dual review, I can resume my evening in double-fisting fashion!

I see you're practicing with the bottle placement for your nude tastings
Great post, love the reviews….
