Wild Onion Pumpkin Ale

Wild Onion Pumpkin Ale

This past weekend I caught a cold….AGAIN. Dead people have better immune systems than mine. What a pain in the butt. I was supposed to review this pumpkin beer on Sunday (Halloween). It would have been perfect. Instead, I couldn’t smell out of of my nostrils. Today I still felt like crap, but it’s pretty clear that God wants me to drink this beer, as a few minutes ago my whole face cleared up. GO TIME!

Wild Onion Pumpkin Ale

This brew is from Wild Onion brewing. I reviewed Wild Onion Paddy Pale Ale a week or two ago. That was my first foray into Wild Onion brews, and I was pleased.

I don’t know what to expect from this one, but I can already tell you that the can itself gets high marks for awesomeness.

Flavor-wise, the beer is blowing my doors off. Spicy! Cinnamon, nutmeg and others too. Super well balanced. Tastes a bit like pumpkin pie, but don’t freak out, it’s not in that super sweet way (e.g. Pumking).

Maybe it’s because I haven’t drank a craft beer since last week. Maybe this is just a really good beer. Either way, tonight, I highly recommend this brew!!!
