Lakefront Holiday Spice Lager

Beer Run

Two nights ago I made a beer run. Picked up a bunch of good stuff (pictured above). Click the above picture and/or check out the “Queued Up” page for details of what I grabbed. I’m excited for all of these.

I mentioned last night that I was on a winter-warmer mission. My wife helped me pick out tonight’s winter warmer – Lakefront Holiday Spice Lager.

The beer has a fantastic aroma, smelling of spices and bananas. It’s got a bad-ass looking head…the kind I wish I could capture with a uber-zoom-lens if I actually had one.

Tastes of winter warmness. Spices with a hint of brown sugar / caramel. The aforementioned bad-ass head is turning into major lacing on the glass…frosty looking foam seems appropriate for a winter beer.

We’re in the middle of a ridiculous cold snap here on the east coast. Here in Massachusetts this translates into temperatures in the teens…not terribly strange for our winters in general, although a bit odd for December. It’s great “warmer” weather. And speaking of this craptastic cold weather, my dog is absolutely freaking out…he needs a walk. BOO! I’m leaving a few sips of this Holiday Spice Lager for when I get back.

Oh, and go get yourself some of this brew. Good stuff!
