Tonight we’re chilling out, watching TV, and waiting for snowpacalypse part 142 of the winter season. OK, that’s a slight overestimate. We have had a ridiculous amount of snow this year though. Some of the snow piles are nearly 2 stories tall! Tomorrow and Wednesday we’re getting hit with back-to-back storms which will dump 1-2 additional feet of the white stuff.
Earlier tonight I had a couple bottles of Belhaven Scottish Ale. That led to a terrific game of 20 questions.
Fast forward a couple hours and it’s time for a review. Kona Fire Rock Pale Ale looked pretty delicious sitting in my fridge, so let’s go with that!
This is a straight forward brew – nothing complex here. Roasted malts. A slightly floral hoppy aftertaste. Light carbonation, making the beer feel a little syrupy. The 6% ABV isn’t a surprise. It’s OK.
Bingo, bango. This brew has done been reviewed. Stamp it. No erasies.

I haven’t had this one for a while, but I remember thinking it was pretty refreshing, but a fairly pedestrian APA. I’d certainly drink it again, but I wouldn’t go looking for it.

You pretty much hit it on the head when you said pedestrian. Nothing unique about it, but also not bad per-se.
