Yesterday was the second LIBA Craft Beer Meetup of the year, moving me one step closer to completing one of my goals for 2011.
Before getting to the recap, I must thank some people.
Dory Dinoto – Our photographer. Many thanks for donating your time. You can check out all the pictures in the above slideshow, or you can see them here. Dory took awesome pictures, don’t you think?
The Cambridge Brewing Company: Thank you for hosting us, providing our guests with free appetizers, and providing two gift certificates towards door prizes.
The Craft Beer Cellar: Thank you for donating two gift certificates toward the door prizes. I hope we can work together again in the future!
The attendees: Thank you for coming and making the event successful. To those of you I met for the first time, it was great meeting you. For those of you who are “regulars”, always great to see you again!
The event started out slow with a handful of people trickling in. I had 77 RSVPs, so I was hoping for a big turnout. We ended up with ~25 people, which was much less than where I wanted to be. HOWEVER, the quality is what’s important, and we had some awesome people turn-out. Thank you once again to everyone who attended, and to those who couldn’t make it: hope to see you next time!
We had some excellent door prizes to give away. Below are our winners.
The door prizes included:
- Two $25 GCs to the Cambridge Brewing Company
- Two $25 GCs to the Craft Beer Cellar
- The first ever “LIBA Experience” giveaway.
The “LIBA experience” prize winner (Eric) gets to schedule an evening of beer reviewing with yours truly. I bring the beer. I blog live as we both comment on the beers. Eric’s an avid homebrewer, so I expect we’ll also be reviewing some of his homebrew!
As far as beer, I drank:
To this day I’ve never had a bad beer at the CBC. I didn’t hear any complaints from the guests either.
Overall the event was once again great fun. The next event is scheduled for April 30th at the British Beer Company in Framingham, MA. You’ll probably start to see me promote the event this coming week. I’m working on getting a little something special going for that event….although I’ll have to leave it shrouded in secrecy until I have the plans locked down! Stay tuned.

Sounds like another great meetup! One of these days we are definitely going to make it out your way for one. Cheers!
