Tremont Patriot Pale Ale

Tremont Patriot Pale Ale

Today I spent the day by the pool at the in-laws. At least I assume I did. I’m technically writing this the evening prior, anticipating tomorrow’s plans. I fully expect tomorrow will be awesome…if for no other reason than the weather. Memorial day should be spent by the pool with a beer in hand…and that’s exactly where I was…or will be…depending on how you look at it. Confused? Me too.

While I’m not at the pool as I type this, I do have a beer in hand. One out of two ain’t too shabby, eh?

The beer of choice is Tremont Patriot Pale Ale. Up to this point I had never heard of Tremont Brewing. A little googling has indicated that they were a craft brewery out of Massachusetts that closed down in the 90s. Shipyard took over the label and now brews this stuff out of Portland, Maine.

The Patriot Pale is delicious. It’s mostly malty (caramel flavors) with a hoppy kick thrown into the mix. Definitely on the mild side of pale ales. It’s a terrific beer in my opinion. Easy drinking and full of flavor. I could kill a 6 pack easy.

Here is the advice I give to people looking fora particular beer:
#1: Call your local liquor store. Ask them if they can get the beer you want.
#2: If your liquor store can’t get the beer, ask them if their distributor might be able to. If yes, ask for contact info for the distributor and give them a ring.
#3: Contact the brewery. Phone is always best, but you can probably also contact them via their website, email, or social media (their Facebook page or twitter page if applicable).

      Good luck!
