Dos Equis Amber

Dos Equis

This afternoon and evening was absolutely insane. We had SERIOUS storms here in Massachusetts. In fact, we were under tornado watch and warning for most of the afternoon and early evening. The western part of the state, especially Springfield, got hammered. I have been glued to the radar for literally 6 hours. Check it out. This is the radar AFTER most of the nasty storms had already passed.

Bad Weather

And a video of the tornado as it tore up downtown Springfield:

On top of all that, the Bruins are playing in game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals tonight. I’m not sure I can take all of this.

I’ve gone to an old friend to get me through the evening – Dos Equis. I drink this beer A LOT. Every time I’m in a Mexican restaurant, it’s Dos Equis Amber. Note: Dos Equis proper (the straight lager) is freaking nasty…green bottle piss as far as I am concerned.

On the other hand, Dos Equis Amber is good enough to make love to. It’s a simple beer. SUPER smooth and malty. No bitter whatsoever. Best on draught, but still great straight from a bottle. Goes fantastically with any Mexican food, but especially fried ice cream with a nice honey glaze.
