Tonight the wife was supposed to go to yoga. I was pretty stoked, as that means no-pants and video games. She ended up skipping yoga, but fear not…there was still much video gaming and very little pants. I played Rock Band 3 for over an hour. This past weekend I rekindled my acquaintance with the Rock Band series when I picked up RB3 for a measly $20 (game only, no instruments). It was the recent addition of Poison songs to the Rock Band downloadable content library which brought me back, and man I’m having a blast.
I’m following up plastic instrument playtime with this Opa-Opa Red Rock Ale. I’m hopeful that it will be delicious like last night’s Opa-Opa Light.
The Red Rock Ale is an American red ale. At first I was thinking “meh, this brew is uninteresting”. Stick with me though…
As I got a few sips in I realized the beer has some interesting taste characteristics. I’m picking up something that I’m enjoying but not quite able to describe. At first I thought it was raisin. Then, no, it’s faint spice of some kind…damn, I can’t figure it out!
It’s a malty brew swinging to the sweeter side of things and I’m OK with that. Refreshing after an evening of jamming to Poison, Ratt, and Motley Crue!
