Samuel Adams Coastal Wheat

Samuel Adams Costal Wheat

What a fucking weird day!

It started off odd with me popping up out of bed WIDE awake at 4:00am for absolutely no reason. I turned lemons into bad-ass lemonade by deciding to hit the golf course. Banged out a decent round of golf and got home at 6:30am. Woke up the wife and went for a run (a couple miles). Off to work for an absolute travesty of a day.

I got home WAY late and drank a Otter Creek Stovepipe porter to relax. I was 100% sure I already reviewed it, so I sucked it down. DOH #1 – I have never reviewed it. Too late now.

Next I went to review a beer. Popped the top on some Sierra Nevada Kellerweis, took pictures and then realized DOH #2 – I have already reviewed it.

Beer #3 is another one I would have bet my life that I had reviewed before – Samuel Adams Coastal Wheat. Scouring the site, I see it no where, so here we go.

It’s got an intriguing fruity aroma. I can’t put my finger on it. Close to apricot, but not exactly. It follows through with a strong taste of the same. I’m resigning myself to say that it’s a lemon flavor, HOWEVER, it’s not exactly like other lemony beers I have had. This one has something different going on.

It’s not the greatest beer, but after a day like this, it’s all good. It’s light and drinkable and the flavors are different enough to keep me entertained. I’d recommend giving this one a try.
