Baxter Stowaway IPA and The Bruery Mischief

Baxter Stowaway IPA

With the exception of still being sick, this weekend was pretty sweet. Sunday (today) was a beautiful day; the weather was sunny and nearly 60. Not bad for New England in March! We ran a 5K in Worcester in the morning and then chilled out the rest of the day. I was shooting for a 25 minute 5K and I knocked it out in under 24:00!

Baxter Stowaway IPA

Saturday we kicked around most of the day before going over to our friends Greg & Heather’s house for game night. We played Clue, which none of us had played for a dozen years or more. It was a good time.

Baxter Stowaway IPA

I brought a six-pack of Baxter Stowaway IPA to game night. The beer was very hoppy with mostly citrus flavors. It was so hoppy that I only managed to sip through two cans in a couple hours. It was a good beer, but didn’t have enough going on to keep me interested…another flavor added to the mix would have made it more enjoyable.

The Bruery Mischief

I moved beyond the Baxter brew and into a bottle of The Bruery Mischief. Heather, her friend Joy and me all shared the beer and our thoughts about it.

The Bruery Mischief

Me: Light fuzzy head. Big time apricot smell and flavor. Lemon flavors in the mix also. Drinkable. 8.5%, so watch out!

Heather: Lemony and tart. Enjoyed it much more once it had warmed up.

Joy: Liked it at first. Unlike Heather, once it warmed Joy liked it less!
