Cucapa Green Card

It’s Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday
!

Tonight I’m a bachelor. The wife is going out with her sister and her cousin. Man, what to do, what to do?
Hookers and blow? let’s not kid ourselves, I was never that crazy.
House party? Pssshhh, I’m getting too old (and my friends are as lame as I am)
Order some pizza, get drunk by myself and blast some tunes? Tempting, but in direct conflict with operation Cancun-body.
Sit alone (sober) and play video games in my boxers? Ding Ding Ding…we have a winner.

Although I won’t be drinking much, I am starting the evening off with a review of another beer by my favorite Mexican Craft Brewery Cucapa. Tonight I’m suckling on a bottle of their Green Card barleywine.

This stuff is rugged – 10% ABV and you can taste and feel the booze. It looks like it tastes: murkey brown. The main flavor is a DEEP DARK fruit flavor; Figs or raisins. The flavors are incredibly bold and a bit much to deal with. The brew finishes with a piney hops aftertaste, which is frankly just a weird way to end after the dark sweet fig/raisin flavor.

I’ll finish the bottle….maybe. Meh.
