Offshore IPA

Offshore IPA

Tonight we venture into the TMI department with a story of my first waxing. Back waxing that is. It was the final part of Operation Cancun Body. The waxing wasn’t bad – I don’t have a fur sweater, just some patchy stuff. Two hours removed from the experience my back is all tingly and warm. Interesting experience, although mild compared to the waxing some women ensure.

Offshore IPA

Tonight’s brew of choice is an IPA from a brewery that I’ve never tried out before – Offshore Brewing based on Martha’s Vineyard, MA. The IPA has a STRONG citrus aroma – grapefruit. I’m expecting a grapefruit bomb in the flavor department too.

And BLAMO! There it is. Not as much citrus as I expected, but it’s definitely there. The beer also has a strong-ass piney finish. Way too hoppy and bitter for me. It’s like chewing on hops. *bitter face*
