Happy Friday everyone! Things have been crazy on my end as of late. I have class two nights a week, usually something else going on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and my weekends are booked until mid-June. Finding a few minutes to even review a beer will be a challenge for a little while.
Nothing like a beer-run to get me excited about beer again! Check out the HUGE haul. And the best part? It was all courtesy of my new site sponsor Julio’s liquors. Speaking of which, don’t forget that this Sunday is their annual spring beer fest is this Sunday afternoon (1/20/2012) from 1-4pm.

Tonight’s beer is Cambridge Brewing Company’s Tripel Threat. After popping the top on this one and pouring it, I’m excited to dive in. It has a ton of banana/spice flavor. It feels like it’s been a while since I have a really good tripel.
A surprising amount of the banana aroma follows into the flavor. There is a slew of spicy flavor to go along. It is overwhelmingly sweet, bordering on too much. In an attempt to help mask the 10% ABV, this sucker is sugared up.
I’m a huge fan of Cambridge Brewing. I’m bonkers for their Pumpkin Ale as well as other beers I’ve had on tap there. The last one I reviewed (scotch ale did nothing for me. This here Tripel Threat is darn good, but will get old after the first pint – too sweet for more than that. Somehow I will soldier through the rest of the bomber…it’s a cursed life I live.
