This weekend was jam-packed. It’s hard to believe it’s almost over. Friday I ran a golf tournament with 83 of my co-workers. Saturday we went to the Boston Irish Festival. At the festival my wife was participated in breaking the world record for more redheads in one gathering (see picture below). Today (Sunday) Melissa and I ran a 6k in support of the Worcester Firefighters. It was 85 degrees with a blazing sun, but I managed to keep an 8 minute pace finishing in just over 29 minutes.
Backing up to Saturday evening, we spent some time with our friends Sean and Kerry. I brought along some beer to share – Sam Adams Verloren. This beer is brewed with coriander and salt. It’s a Gose, which is a style I’ve never heard of or had before!
All three of us really enjoyed the brew. Sean tasted honey, while Kerry mentioned a light citrus sweetness. I felt like I could taste the salt in the aftertaste. Verloren is well balanced and doesn’t bring too much in either the malt or hops department. Although the beer is 6% ABV, it’s highly drinkable!
