Good evening LIBA readers! I hope your week is going well. Mostly just another week here. Tonight has been productive thus far, involving a few hours of cleaning house; my mother-in-law is coming to stay the night tomorrow.
I worked up a thirst scrubbing the shitter, so I popped open the antithesis of turd – High and Mighty Beer Co.’s Purity of Essence. This brew is a pale lager. It’s unfiltered, giving it a hazy look. Very orange in color and lots of head (be careful on the pour).
Taste-wise this puppy is perfect for my kisser tonight. It’s fairly well balanced, with a good malty backbone but more dominate hops. The hops are giving me a floral flavor at first, which melts into a sweet citrus. 5.4% ABV and easy drinking. SUPER crisp. In my opinion, she’s a GREAT example of a pale.
