Magic Hat Hocus Pocus

Magic Hat Hocus Pocus

The last couple of days have brought the unexpected. Due to some complications, I had to take time off of work to help my wife run her Ecolissa booth at Boston Green Fest. The festival has gone well thus far. Sales have been good and the weather is fantastic. That said, I spent HOURS in the sun today and I feel sapped. Worse yet, I was wearing a hat all day and despite having taken it off hours ago I can still feel the damn thing on my head. Has that ever happened to you?

Back at the ranch, I have about 30 minutes before I have to crash in bed before doing it all over again all day tomorrow. Just enough time for a quick review of Magic Hat Hocus Pocus.

Magic Hat recently held a vote of consumers to see which retired beer they wanted to re-appear. Hocus Pocus was the winner and now it’s in my glass! It’s a perfect summer bear. At 4.5% ABV it’s easy drinking. It’s a pale wheat by style, but reminds me more of summery Kolsch: lemony and fizzy golden. There is virtually no hop action, so don’t come looking for it here.

I so could have used one of these as I baked in the sun earlier today!
