Pyramid Thunderhead IPA

How’s everyone’s week going thus far? Another exhausting one for me. Taking these final two classes is stressful, but I’ll be SOOOOOOO happy when I’m done. I’m just counting down the days.

Tonight I’m excited to be trying out a beer from a brewery I’ve never tasted anything from: Pyramid. They are from the west coast, but just recently started distributing to Massachusetts. I picked up their Thunderhead IPA.

This 6.7% ABV brew pours a golden-orange hue. It smells like sweet hops.

In the taste department, be forewarned: it’s hoppy. There’s a mix of floral and citrus notes. There is a twinge of sweetness from the malty backbone, however don’t be mistaken – hops dominate.

I wish I had a glass of delicious Harpoon IPA next to me. I’m fairly sure the two would stack up pretty close!
