Cisco Island Reserve Madaquet IPA

Cisco Island Reserve Madaquet IPA

Yo, yo, yo. What’s up ya’ll?

I’m kicking back after a VERY long day, watching some Boston Bruins hockey. The last couple of days I’ve worked 12 hours and I’ve had zero beer to go with it. Man, do I need one.

Tonight’s review is comes from Cisco Brewery on Nantucket. This is their Madaquet American IPA, which is a member of their limited edition “Island Reserve” series. My thoughts in rapid fashion:

  • Golden orange in color.
  • Floral and pine notes.
  • As it warms, malt backbone shows up, flavors turn to citrus.
  • A great beer for hopheads.
  • I seem to recall the 1 pint 6 ounce bottle being a bit on the pricy side ($15ish).
  • Very drinkable and enjoyable!

I wouldn’t buy it again in a bomber due to the price point. I would try it on draft for sure.
