Holy hell, what a crap-tastic week at work. Thank God this storm came and gave me a day at home…really needed that. Worked into the late afternoon from the couch and then got so worked up over something going on at work that I simply shut down. Laptop –> off. Beer –> on.
I cracked open a bottle of Cisco Island Reserve Madaquet IPA. I’ll post the review of it on Sunday.
Right now you get a quick review of Peak Organic Oak Aged Mocha Stout, which I shared with my buddies Sean and Kerry. I don’t know why I shared it with Sean. We drank it while watching the Superbowl and mid-beer he decided to open his laptop and do work. WTF???
But I digress. The Mocha Stout poured a deep black color. Flavors and aromas were all over the map: chocolate, toffee, coffee, caramel and vanilla. We all liked the beer and thought it was easy to drink despite the 8.4% ABV.
