Pyramid Outburst Imperial IPA

Pyramid Outburst Imperial IPA

Happy weekend LIBA readers! I love these short weeks; Thank you President’s Day! Tonight wife and me are headed over to friend’s Sean & Kerry for some burritos and tequila! Arriba! Arriba!

Before that though, I just blasted through a bottle of Pyramid Outburst. According to Tony the Tiger, this 8.5% ABV imperial IPA is ggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrreat! (and I concur)

It’s a hop-head’s dream, with complex bitter flavors combining with a solid malt backbone to create a flavor that’s frankly a bit difficult to describe! Looking on various beer review sites I see everything from pine, to citrus, to floral and beyond. The primary hop character I get is floral, followed by sweet pineapple. Loved this brew.

I picked this up at Julio’s last night. I made a MONSTER beer run, when quite frankly I had no business doing so. Now I have a HUGE stock of beer and don’t know what to do with it. There are worse problems to have I suppose. On another side note, I’m fairly sure I’m developing a “problem”…that is, I want to buy nothing other than IPAs. This is so strange for me since I started enjoying IPAs about a year ago. My fridge is currently bulging with a dozen or more different varieties!
