This is the first of a handful of posts reviewing North Carolina beer I tried last week while traveling for work.
I tried the Aviator HogWild IPA at the Fiction Kitchen (Raleigh, NC) on our second night. First off, if you’re in the area and you’re looking for vegetarian or vegan, the Fiction Kitchen is a great option. I had a bbq “pork” plate that was awesome.
On to the beer…
The pour produced a beautiful frothy head that was dimpled not unlike a goll ball! The brew was very hoppy with floral and pine flavors mixing with fresh-cut-grass. It ended with a long piny aftertaste. Overall, due to the heavy pine flavor, it wasn’t the best for me.
