Banner American Ale

Banner American Ale

April has been an abysmal month for LIBA. The lack of posts has been due to the nasty cold I had, followed by some serious laziness. I think I’m over it and ready to get back into the swing of things.

Banner American Ale

Spring has finally sprung here in Massachusetts and the weather is now in the 60s. This past Thursday I played my first round of golf for the year. My play was horrific, but I still had a great time. I’ve decided to join a league, so I’ll finally play as often as I’ve always wanted to. After playing my round on Thursday I stopped in for a customary post-golf beer. On tap I found the new American Ale from Banner Beer Company. Banner is a local start-up out of Grafton, MA.

The American Ale is a light, summery amber ale. The brew is an incredibly low 3.4% ABV. It pours with a ample fluffy head and has a hoppy aroma. In the flavor department it delivers earthy, piney and floral hops.

I really can’t get over how packed this beer is with bold flavors, despite the low ABV. If this is the type of stuff we can expect from Banner going forward, we’re in for some interesting and unique stuff!
