Beer Works Back Bay IPA

The last two days have been re-dic-u-lous in terms of weather. Both days it hit 70 degrees. You can almost hear every person in New England saying “FINALLY” at the same time. What a long, awful winter. Buh-bye. Good riddance. *spit*

I’m kicking my evening off with a bottle of Beer Works Back Bay IPA. Beer Works is in Lowell, MA. This beer has been around since the late 1990s and I’ve never had it!

It’s a tasty IPA. Plenty of hops, but not a pallet-wrecker by any means. It’s got a sweet citrus aroma, which I liken to tangerines soaked in sugar. The flavor follows suit with monster citrus notes (orange/lemon). I could totally drink this beer for hours on a nice spring day like this.

The only “ding” I’m going to give to the brew is on the pour – MASSIVE head, due to what I can only assume is really pissed off yeast in the bottle.
