It’s hump day folks. I’m feeling pretty good this week. I’ve been over-stressed at work recently, and this week feels calmer. Add to that the beautiful weather and that I’m back to running outdoors regularly, and things are looking up. On top of all that, I’m going to Mohegan Sun Casino on Saturday with friends for a little early birthday celebration!
While I wait for dinner tonight I’m blasting down this quick review of Full Sail Session Black. To start, I love these little short-boy bottles. Note: In the event “short-boy” has not been trademarked, I’m claiming it now.
This beer is a schwartzbier – a style I rarely get a chance to review. At 5.4% ABV, you might think “is it really a session beer”? If you’re thinking that, my answer is: stop thinking about it so much and enjoy the damn beer.
This brew is light, effervescent and delicious through and through. It brings a crisp roasted malt flavor that lingers for seconds before disappearing into a very light and sweet aftertaste of chocolate. I’ll definitely be picking up a 6-pack of this stuff come later this spring.
