Today Josh and I are having an amazing time in Jamaica. Don’t hate! I’m sure Josh will tell you all about it when we get home.
Anyway, the other day I drank Citizen Cider Stan Up which was given to us from our good friends, Heather and Greg. Thanks a bunch guys! This cider uses an heirloom blend of apples, comes in a 750ml bottle, and has a 6.9% ABV so I was a bit worried about drinking it on a “school night”, but I took the challenge anyway.
This cider is very pale in color and carbonated. I’m not getting a lot of scent, just the light scent of apples. The flavor is pretty light as well, which surprised me considering the ABV. I would describe it as a little dry with a slight tart/sour aftertaste. I like it! I think it is the perfect cider to drink with dinner as it won’t conflict with other flavors. I ended up finishing the bottle rather quickly and getting a bit buzzed, but I woke up feeling fine which is the important part.
I can’t wait to try Citizen Cider’s other ciders now. I hope Josh and I can go visit and do a tasting sometime!
