Foolproof King of the Yahd

King of the Yahd

I’ve sat in front of the laptop for the last 2 hours, staring at the screen, trying to come up with something witty to say or even anything to write about tonight. I’ve got nothing. The weekend, while good, was nothing exciting. And seeing as I have a shitload of ironing to do, I can’t keep sitting here. So, you get a very quick beer review.

Foolproof King of the Yahd is a 9.5% imperial IPA. I desperately want to like a Foolproof beer, but this beer isn’t it. It’s strongly hopped, to the point that it’s astringent. It took me this entire two hours to drink the whole bottle. Pine flavor is overwhelming. Bleck. Perhaps if you’re into overly hoppy imperial IPAs, this would be a good beer for you. For me, it’s unbalanced and unenjoyable.
