After a long winter of ass-tastic weather and dark, dark beers, spring has arrived and today it was nearly 60 degrees out. All I can say is thank God. I’m ready to get back into the light brews and I’m starting with this Backlash Convergence. The 7% ABV saison wouldn’t usually be my first pick, as the style isn’t my favorite, however I’ all about it tonight.
Not being much of a saison connoisseur, I can tell you that I don’t have a good perception of the difference between them. I can tell you I enjoy this one. It’s citrusy, with a distinct lemon…or perhaps lemongrass? It’s also got some spiciness that one might expect from the style. Not too shabby. Happy spring!
