Amstel Radler

Amstel Radler

What a beautiful weekend here in New England! Saturday i was slightly drizzly and overcast, but damn was it warm! We got up into the low 80s and it was as humid as mid-summer. Sunday was completely perfect – upper 70s and nothing but blue sky. I got up early and played my first golf round of the year, fell asleep on the patio briefly, took the dog for a long walk and ran some errands.

While hanging out on the patio, I thought it would be a great time to try out this Amstel Radler. It’s the first time I’ve had this style, but since Amstel sent this to me for free to review, I figured “what the hell”. Radlers are a hybrid of lemonade and beer. My review of the Amstel Radler is straightforward: it tastes like carbonated lemonade. I got absolutely no beer flavor, whatsoever. At 2% ABV, it’s damn close to a lemonade too. That all said, I really enjoyed it, and it worked great for a summery day in the sun!
