Two Roads Ol’ Factory Pils

Two Roads Ol'Factory

Happy Memorial Day. I hope everyone had a great long weekend. I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling refreshed and I’m looking forward to a short week of work. Today was a stay-at-home and relax kind of day. I accomplished two notable things: 1. finished watching the show LOST and 2. updated LIBA’s design to use a more modern template. With respect to the new design, please let me know what you think.

Before hitting the couch for the evening, I thought it pertinent to get a beer review up. And as such, I’m just now cracking open a bottle of Two Roads Ol’Factory Pils. This brew, from the Connecticut-based Two Roads Brewery is a 5% ABV German Pilsener.

I have to say that I like a lot of things about this beer. It poured with a formidable head. It smells refreshing, with strong lemon notes. And in terms of flavor, it’s plenty hoppy, without being overbearing. The main flavors are citrus and grass. The Ol’Factory doesn’t bring anything terribly unique to the pilsener scene, but it’s a damn solid beer.
