Wachusett 20 Years Brewfest (Recap)

This past Saturday I attended Wachusett Brewery’s 20 Years Brewfest. The event, as one might guess, celebrated 20 years of brewing for the company. I was lucky enough to attend on a press pass for which my thanks goes out to Kim, chief of PR.

The weather was perfect for the event: overcast and warm. We had to park a little far away, but there was a constant stream of shuttle busses, with no delay between arrivals and departures. The setup was fantastic. There was easy access to tents where you bought beer and food tickets (beers for $4 each). Two huge trucks served beer quick enough so that you never had to wait more than a minute or two to get your next brew. There was a grill and an adjacent HUGE tent with places to sit and chill. There was even a cornhole tournament. OH…and there were more than ample porto-potties!

I even got a chance to briefly chat with Ned LaFortune, president and co-founder who is always friendly and willing to chat. The whole thing was well planned, well executed and a ton of fun!
