Brasserie De Blaugies / Hill Farmstead La Vermontoise

I have been asked what I received for Christmas. Besides a bunch of beer (always welcomed), I received very little. I did get foot-pajamas from the wife, which I adore. Really though…what do you get a guy that already has everything he wants/needs in life? Well, you could get him something he completely DOESN’T need…like a home audio system. Said system is my newest obsession, which I freely admit makes no sense. We have a tiny apartment that we’re moving out of soon, so it makes zero sense to make a purchase like this. Still, it’s the only tangible thing that I frequently think about purchasing. I secretly hoped that Santa would deliver me this item, knowing full well he had spoken to my wife who is far more practical-minded than I. Someday…

Tonight’s review is of Brasserie De Blaugies / Hill Farmstead La Vermontoise. This beer is brewed by Belgian brewery Brasserie De Blaugies in collaboration with Vermont-based Hill Farmstead. My mom got me this for Christmas, and I enjoyed drinking it. It’s a saison style beer with a 6% ABV. I found it to be super lemony, with lots of spices (mostly clove). I appreciated that it did not have that peppery quality that other saisons often have. It went down super quick. Recommended!
