Berkshire Farmhouse IPA

Berkshire Farmhouse IPA

Tonight I don’t have much to talk about. Wait, scratch that. I have plenty to talk about, such as: buying a whole new bedroom furniture set, some home insurance woes, gas and my battle with allergies season. Riveting stuff, I know. I simply lack the motivation to write. So instead, I drink.

Berkshire Farmhouse IPA is in my glass. It came highly recommended down at Julio’s, so I gave it a try. It’s been a while since I had a Belgian IPA, so why not, right?

And you know what? It tastes like a Belgian IPA: Mildish hops mixed with Belgianish spices (clove, maybe coriander). I will say, the hops and spices are well balanced. Nothing here is overpowering for me. I like it.

It pairs amazingly well with this bar of 70% dark cacao chocolate I just started eating. Wait, did I say “amazingly well”? I meant “beyond horrifically”. For those into masochism, I highly recommend mixing dark chocolate and Belgian IPAs. In fact, throw them both in a blender and drink up.

I’m out.
