Lost Nation Gose

Lost Nation Gose

Hey folks. It’s been quite some time since I last blogged. Some of it was travel related. Most of it was laziness-related. The travel was to Vegas, which was a great trip, enhanced by the fact that I won $350. The laziness is mainly video game related. The wife is now working bizarre hours at her new job, leaving me a bachelor many evenings. Rather than doing something (anything) productive, I spend hours playing Elder Scrolls Online. It’s pretty pathetic. But honestly, I’m not going to apologize. I’m having a great time playing and I’m meeting some cool people who I play with online.

Today had my old buddy Norm over to watch the Patriots. The Pats did away with the Bills in an exciting game. We had a few beers along the way, although nothing worthy of writing about.

Tonight I’m drinking a tall-boy of Lost Nation Gose. My mother got me this beer earlier this summer. She bought me a 4-pack and I killed the other three a number of weeks ago. I figured it was time to finally finish off this one.

The beer is a Gose style, brewed using salt. It has a distinct citrus flavor as well. There is even perhaps a slight tartness to it. Gose are typically easy drinking and this one is no exception. At 4.5% ABV, it deliciously goes down quick. It’s a decent representation of the style and I would enjoy having it again.
