Zermatt Matterhorn

Zermatt Matterhorn

Tonight we are headed to church for confession, an admittedly uncomfortable occasion. Funny thing is, we feel great afterward, being sin free, if only momentarily. Since church is still a couple of hours away, I thought I would review a beer. The first one that I pulled from the fridge was a 9.something % ABV beast, which I decided to put back, as it would almost certainly result in an overly elaborate confession later. Instead, I grabbed this Zermatt Matterhorn (5.0%), a gift from our friend Heather who recently returned from a week-long trip to Switzerland.

The beer is a European pale lager by style. Little head on the pour. Amber hue with an orange-ish tint. Lots of biscuity malty flavors. Super low in hop bittering. Definitely crushable. Overall pretty tasty. Thanks Heather!!
