Stormalong The Grand Banks

Stormalong The Grand Banks

It has been incredibly busy in my world. I’m still dealing with our ceiling leak. Melissa has been utterly sick. Work has been non-stop. Evenings are taken up with various things. Weekends have been slammed. This weekend is the half marathon and father’s day. And so on.

Tonight we’re finally relaxing and sharing a bottle of Stormalong The Grand Banks. Stormalong is apparently a cidery in Sherborn, MA. This is the first time I’ve heard about them. The cider is a collaboration with Bull Boy distillery, as it’s aged in whiskey barrels for 10 months. It’s a hefty cider with a 9.5% ABV. It has a unique flavor with a lot of character. For Melissa, she wasn’t sure about it at first because it’s so strong in flavor. It grew on her as she drank more. I picked up on the oaky notes immediately, and found it easy to drink despite the high ABV. Interesting and delicious!
